Information on reports, complaints and outcomes related to electoral crimes received between February 7, 2026 and June 7, 2026, as of 12:00 a.m.

Further to the publication of the Prosecutor General’s Office dated June 7, 2026, we inform that, according to data received and processed by the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Armenia, from February 7, 2026, the start of the process for the regular elections to the National Assembly, until June 7, 2026, at 12:00 a.m., a total of 599 reports concerning alleged crimes obstructing the electoral process were received by the pre-trial investigation authorities.

 

Of the 599 reports:

 

  • 210 criminal proceedings have been initiated;
  • 349 individuals have been subjected to public criminal prosecution;
  • 14 criminal cases involving 42 individuals have been referred to the competent court with approved indictments;
  • Motions regarding the consent of the Central Electoral Commission to initiate criminal prosecution and to deprive 13 parliamentary candidates of their liberty have been submitted, whereof 12 motions have been granted, while the motion concerning 1 candidate will be considered in the near future. Parliamentary candidate V.E. has been detained;
  • 16 reports were received through the anonymous reporting platform azdararir.am.
